Grant Application

Empowering Communities Through Love, Learning, and Legacy

The Paul Brown Legacy Foundation is committed to supporting organizations and initiatives that uplift individuals, families, and communities—especially those rooted in faith, education, health, and equity. We invite nonprofit and faith-based organizations whose work aligns with our mission to apply for funding.


Who We Fund

We support U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits and faith-driven organizations that align with one or more of our five priority areas:

  • Education & Youth Empowerment
  • Faith-Based Community Development
  • Health & Wellness Access
  • Economic Mobility & Family Stability
  • Legacy Leadership & Mentorship

We prioritize projects that are community-centered, culturally grounded, and led by those with lived experience.


Funding Types

  • General Operating Support
  • Program or Project-Based Grants
  • Faith-Based Mini-Grants
  • Capacity-Building Support
  • Emergency or Responsive Grants (by invitation only)

Application Process

Our grant process includes the following steps:

1. 

Letter of Inquiry (LOI)

Submit a brief overview of your organization, project, and alignment with our mission.

2. 

Full Proposal Invitation

If selected, you will be invited to submit a full proposal including budget, timeline, measurable outcomes, and community impact.

3. 

Review & Decision

Proposals are reviewed by our program team and Board. Decisions are typically made within 60–90 days.

4. 

Grant Agreement & Disbursement

Awarded organizations receive a grant agreement outlining funding terms and reporting expectations.


Key Dates

  • Spring Cycle Opens: February 1
  • Spring Cycle Closes: March 15
  • Fall Cycle Opens: August 1
  • Fall Cycle Closes: September 15

Out-of-cycle requests may be considered for urgent or time-sensitive needs.

Eligibility Checklist

✅ 501(c)(3) status or fiscal sponsor

✅ Alignment with one or more funding priorities

✅ Clear community benefit and measurable outcomes

✅ Strong leadership and sound fiscal practices
