Purpose
The purpose of this Gift Acceptance Policy is to ensure that all donations received by the Paul Brown
Legacy Foundation support its charitable mission while maintaining the highest standards of integrity,
transparency, and legal compliance.
General Principles
The Foundation will accept gifts that support its charitable objectives, comply with applicable laws, and
do not expose the Foundation to undue risk or reputational harm. The Foundation reserves the right to
decline any gift inconsistent with these principles.
Acceptable Forms of Gifts
The Foundation may accept donations in the form of cash, checks, credit or debit card contributions,
electronic transfers, publicly traded securities, and other gifts approved by the Board of Directors.
Gifts Subject to Review
Certain gifts may require additional review or Board approval, including unusually large donations,
anonymous contributions, gifts with restrictions attached, non-cash assets such as real estate, and
international donations.
Prohibited Gifts
The Foundation will not accept donations that originate from illegal activities, are intended to improperly
influence decisions, conflict with the mission or values of the Foundation, or jeopardize its tax-exempt
status.
Donor Transparency
The Foundation maintains transparency and accountability in all fundraising activities. Donor
information may be recorded for compliance, reporting, and audit purposes while respecting donor
privacy.
Board Oversight
The Board of Directors retains final authority regarding acceptance or refusal of any gift to the
Foundation.
Right to Decline
The Paul Brown Legacy Foundation reserves the right to decline any gift if acceptance is determined to
be inconsistent with its mission, ethical standards, or legal obligations.
